Mustafa Polat, General Manager of Polat Life Textile, which has been operating in the garment industry for a quarter of a century, explained the role of EDS in the execution of the works during the pandemic process.

WE ARE STRONG WITH EDS

Mustafa Polat, General Manager of Polat Life Textile, which has been operating in the garment industry for a quarter of a century, explained the role of EDS in the execution of the works during the pandemic process. Stating that they have activated more features in EDS with the pandemic, Polat said: "We gave a plaque to our friend who best presented the EDS orientation videos." Emphasizing that “EDS is crucial for our decision support mechanism in our company,” Mustafa Polat said: “We print out our important decisions from EDS. We plan and implement all of our processes over EDS and again get the results over EDS.”

WE REDUCED COSTS

Stating that it is difficult to calculate the pandemic variables and it should not be spoken clearly about how the disease will progress, Polat indicated that the companies to survive this process with the least damage will be the companies that invest in technology with speed and result-oriented studies. Mustafa Polat, General Manager of Polat Life Textile, said: “Our design department has never stopped working during the pandemic. On the contrary, we focused on our R&D studies. We reviewed our business processes, we created added value by eliminating non-value-added operations on the product through workshops held by the production and design team, and we worked to reduce our costs.” And he continued his speech as follows:

WE TOOK MANY PRECAUTIONS

“The pandemic was a period in which we were in shock and surprise as well as the whole world. After we got through the first week, we planned how we would take action, how we would make our payments, how we would manage our relations with our suppliers and how we would employ our employees. We remained faithful to the contracts we made with our suppliers, and we paid our suppliers regardless of the pandemic. We did not kick anyone in the teeth. By increasing health and hygiene measures, we did not send our blue-collar and white-collar personnel out of the city or to customer meetings. We went through the orientation process together. All of our friends prepared videos for their business processes and we determined the processes related to the areas to be developed by watching these videos. We discussed the processes to be criticised and we balanced the work of our friends who had too much workload.”

FLEXIBLE, DEVELOPABLE AND DOMESTIC

Emphasizing that they have preferred EDS because it is flexible, developable and domestic software, Mustafa Polat, General Manager of Polat Textile, states that they prefer EDS because it is also preferred by Turkey's leading exporters and provides confidence. Polat has said: “If we see business processes as a chain link, EDS gives us the opportunity to plan and manage all processes. If you determine what you want correctly, it helps you to get the right results in your processes.” There are 12 professional users actively in Polat Life Textile, which has been using EDS for 10 years.
