NON-DIGITALIZED COMPANIES FACE GREAT RISK

Online ERP Training, one of Enfotek's vision projects, was discussed in the live broadcast of UCTEA (Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects) Chamber of Textile Engineers on Youtube channel. Aykut Üstün, Chairman of UCTEA Chamber of Textile Engineers, VQA and Textile Engineer MSC Tuğrul Tamtürk, General Manager of Enfotek took part to the program moderated by Aslı Erdoğan, UCTEA Chamber of Textile Engineers İzmir Branch Board Member. In the program, topics such as Enfotek's history and products, ERP, Online ERP Training, Lean Digitalization, Industry 4.0 and the textile sector were discussed.

Stating that ERP systems are crucial for companies, Tuğrul Tamtürk said: “ERPs are the neural systems of a business. When you don't have a neural network in your body, your hand won't feel it and you lose your hand. Therefore, it is essential for companies to have this reflex, to adapt to the conditions and to the realities of the market.”

FORMATTED AND ACCESSIBLE INFORMATION

Emphasizing the importance of formatted information and underlining that it should be accessible, Tamtürk continued as follows: “Communication is of two types, formatted and unformatted communication. The communication we carry out via e-mail and telephone is called unformatted communication. Even if you spend hours in unformatted communication, it will be hard to reach that information as different information is transferred each time. However, since a very comprehensive database is available in ERPs, you can access formatted information. Hundreds of different methods and information are in flux and it is very difficult for a human brain to manage it.”

THE VITALITY OF THE SYSTEM HAS BECOME INDISPUTABLE

Evaluating their approach to ERP in the last 30 years that he has been active in the sector, Tamtürk said: “The financial situation of the companies was good in the first 10 years, they could easily access raw materials and make profitable sales. However, there was no trend of digitization.” Stating that this situation has changed in the second 10 years, Tamtürk continued as follows: “The owners of the growing companies took an interest in the ERP issue. But employee culture was not enough. In the last 10 years, employees have also moved in to software culture. Especially in the last 5 years, the vitality of a system has become indisputable even in small-scale or large-scale companies. There is no problem in terms of opinion, we suggest the right ways on road maps.”
